Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), positioning himself as a leader ready to make “the ultimate sacrifices” to unify the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, February 4, the Ashanti Regional Chairman stated his bid follows extensive consultations with party elders and his “Maker,” and is driven not by personal ambition but by a need to steer the party through a critical juncture.
