Upper East: Police officer shot dead during suspected armed robbery attack on Zebilla–Widnaba road
A police officer has been shot dead by suspected armed robbers during an attack on the Zebilla–Widnaba road in the Upper East Region.
The incident occurred on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at about 8pm. Two police officers were travelling from Widnaba towards Zebilla, when they reportedly encountered an ongoing armed robbery incident along the road.
