Police arrest suspect in murder of officer at Zebilla

The Ghana Police Service has arrested a 42-year-old man in connection with the robbery and murder of a police officer at Zebilla in the Upper East Region on February 8, 2026.

The suspect, Simon Apusiga, alias Ananga, was apprehended on February 10, 2026, following an intelligence-led operation at his hideout in the Tarkwa Huni Valley area.

A special team deployed by the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, tracked down and arrested the suspect after he had fled the crime scene.
