NIA trains CID officers to strengthen investigations on Ghana Card registrationThe National Identification Authority (NIA) has stepped up efforts to safeguard the integrity of Ghana’s national identity system by training officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service on matters relating to the Ghana Card.

The one-day orientation and training programme was held on January 23, 2026, at the NIA Headquarters and targeted CID officers assigned to the Authority’s regional offices nationwide. The initiative is part of preparations to deploy CID officers to all 16 regions to support investigations connected to Ghana Card registration.
