Africa’s enormous mineral wealth must translate into industrialisation, energy security, and technological advancement for the continent instead of remaining a “paradox of abundance without prosperity,” Prof. Fatima Denton, Director of the United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU-INRA), has stated.

Prof. Denton made the call in a new report released Wednesday, February 12, 2025, titled “Africa Redefining Critical Minerals For A Shared Future: South-South Solidarity in Action.”
