FDA Ashanti region launches aggressive market surveillance to clamp down on unsafe products

The new Ashanti Regional Director of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), Nathaniel Nana Kwabena Nkrumah, has announced sweeping reforms signaling a tougher and more visible regulatory presence in the markets.

In an interview with Luv FM, Mr. Nkrumah said the Ashanti Regional FDA is entering a new era of heightened monitoring and rapid enforcement, aimed to flush out unsafe products, and tracking of non-compliant traders.
